Phil Munsey - Author, Pastor, Father

Pastor Phil Munsey is a third generation minister.  His grandmother was a missionary for over 20 years in Japan as well as his father has a Christian Academy in Sophia, Bulgaria.  Pastor Phil has been an active participant is the Saddleback Valley Ministers Associates.  He serves on the boards of multiple organizations across the world that include Joel Osteen Ministries, GodChasers with Tommy Tenney, Integrity Leadership Ministries and local boards within his local community. Phil is also a community activist and in 2004 won the “Spirit ofDignity Award,” awarded once a year to a top leader in South OrangeCounty.

He handled the media when a member of his church, Anne Hjelle, was attacked by a mountain lion in January of 2004.  He has written several books, which now include the highly published “Legacy Now- Why Everything about You Matters”, available in bookstores across America.  Phil has taken a positive yet practical message around the world with countless appearances on television, at conferences, and churches.

He is the Senior Pastor of the Life Church, a thriving church in OrangeCounty, California, which he and his wife, Pastor Jeannie Munsey, founded in January 1985 in his father-in-law’s living room.  Life Church is a charismatic church with emphasis on the Word of God andentering in to the presence of God through worship, led by PastorJeannie Munsey, who also co-pastors with him.

Friends like Joel Osteen of Lakewood Church in Houston, TX, comment, “Every time I’m around him he builds me up.  You cannot be around him five minutes without feeling better about yourself. “

Pastors Phil & Jeannie reside in Modjeska Canyon, Ca, and have three children: Kara, Phillip II, and Andrew, as well as a son-in-law Doug Bisel, all of whom serve in the ministry.
